Discussion on Gas Fees, Sustainability, and Ethereum 2.0
Gas Fees: One of the challenges on the Ethereum network is the variability of gas fees, which are required for transactions and smart contract interactions. To mitigate this, the TatakJuan project plans to strategically schedule transactions during lower fee periods and explore efficient coding practices to minimize gas consumption. Additionally, the project is prepared to leverage layer 2 scaling solutions that offer reduced gas fees and faster transactions.
Sustainability and Ethereum 2.0: The transition of Ethereum to Ethereum 2.0, moving from proof-of-work (PoW) to proof-of-stake (PoS), addresses concerns regarding energy consumption and environmental impact. The TatakJuan project is committed to sustainability, and the shift to Ethereum 2.0 aligns with this value by significantly reducing the blockchain's carbon footprint, ensuring that the digital preservation of cultural heritage does not come at the expense of the environment.
