Powers and Divine Punishment
Juan's inherent powers were vast and varied, including the ability to traverse the corridors of time, immortality, and a deep understanding of both mortal and divine essences. He could see the potential within people and influence their paths towards greater harmony and understanding. However, during a catastrophic event that threatened the very fabric of humanity, Juan, driven by compassion, intervened directly to save lives, thus violating the divine law that forbade gods from altering human fate.
As punishment for his transgression, Bathala stripped Juan of his immortality and divine powers, confining him to a mortal form. This punishment, however, came with a path to redemption. Bathala, in his wisdom, saw fit to offer Juan a chance to regain his divine status by undertaking a monumental quest.
